Diamond micro powder is also called micron diamond powder, which refers to diamond particles with a particle size finer than 36/54 micron. There are single crystal diamond powder and polycrystalline diamond powder.
Micron diamond powder has high hardness and good wear resistance, and can be widely used in cutting, grinding, drilling, polishing and so on. It is an ideal raw material for grinding and polishing hard alloys, ceramics, precious stones, and optical glass.
Micron diamond powder products are tools and components made of diamond micron powder.
Due to the large output of single crystal diamond powder and wide application fields, the diamond powder is generally referred to as single crystal diamond powder in the industry. Single crystal diamond powder is produced by static pressure artificial diamond single crystal abrasive grains, which are crushed and shaped, and produced by a special process method of superhard materials.
Polycrystalline diamond micro powder is made of graphite by a unique directional blasting method. The shock wave of directional blasting of high-explosive explosives accelerates the flying metal sheet, impacts the graphite sheet and causes graphite to be transformed into polycrystalline diamond. Its structure is very similar to the natural carbonado diamond. Its particles are made of tiny diamond grains through unsaturated bonds and have good toughness. However, polycrystalline diamond fine powder is limited by the synthesis conditions, there are few manufacturers, the product cost is high, and the particle size that can be provided in batches is not greater than 10 microns, which limits its application fields.
